    HP has created a new role within its HP Enterprise Business to coordinate relationships with channel partners including ISVs, system integrators, and MSPs. Mark Angelino will work closely with HP's IT solution provider organization in his new role.

    HP has appointed a new executive to head up the tech giant’s relationships with ISVs, system integrators, managed services providers, business advisory firms, network service providers and channel partners, the company has announced. Mark Angelino will serve as senior vice president of Global Distribution for HP Enterprise Business, a separate group from the channel organization.

    A spokeswoman told Channel Insider that the senior vice president of Global Distribution is a new position within HP Enterprise, and one that will work closely with HP’s IT solution provider organization.

    HP Enterprise Business is the roughly $54 billion unit of HP that includes the company’s industry-leading portfolio of servers, storage, networking, software and services. Angelino will report to Thomas E. Hogan, executive vice president of Sales, Marketing and Strategy for HP Enterprise Business.

    Angelino, a 30-year veteran of the IT industry, joins HP from Salesforce.com, where he served as executive vice president of Customer Success. His responsibilities at Salesforce.com included adoption of the company’s sales, call center and platform services in North America.

    Angelino has also held several senior positions at Sprint Nextel, including president of Sales and Distribution as well as president of Sprint Business Solutions. He also had a long and distinguished career at IBM, holding leadership positions in finance, marketing and sales management.

    “Our partners are a foundational element in our pursuit of best-in-class loyalty and market leadership,” said Hogan, in a statement. “Mark’s wealth of experience in cloud computing and the communications industry, and his proven sales leadership at scale, will help ensure HP is fully leveraging the reach, expertise and influence of our valued partners. We are thrilled to add him to our HP leadership team.”
