When Allison Watson, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Group conducts a live Webcast for partners this week, the partners will be looking for one thing: Clarity.
Starting with an expansive speech CEO Steve Ballmer gave at the University of Washington last week, Microsoft appears to be continuing a full-court press of its cloud computing strategy, assigning its highest-level executives to get the word out that the company is serious about the online software world.
Many in the channel need convincing, which is likely why next up on the cloud computing messaging tour is Allison Watson, vice president of Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Group. Watson will conduct a live Webcast for partners Wednesday aimed at demonstrating the opportunity that cloud computing offers them.
Clarity is needed when it comes to the Redmond, Wash., software giant's cloud plans. Partners basically want to know where they fit in, how do they make money and how much of it can they make.
