D&H Distributing will stock Cisco Certified
Refurbished Equipment for 25 percent less than the cost of new equipment—with the same warranties and same-day shipping. D&H Distributing has announced that it will
stock Cisco Certified Refurbished Equipment, making it available for same-day
shipping through its partners.
The IT distributor said the program is geared toward budget-minded end customers
who are looking for Cisco products but may not have the funds to pay for new
equipment.
While D&H has occasionally offered a refurbished product here or there,
this is the first time the company has stocked a full lineup from a vendor,
according to Tina Fisher, D&H's director of purchasing.
"What tends to happen with refurbished products is the solution provider
will check for availability online, but then by the time the deal is done the
inventory might not be there anymore," Fisher said. "Now we are
stocking the product lines."
Fisher said Cisco approached D&H about carrying the line of refurbished products
geared toward VARs—when the customers want "a good-quality
product but can't quite get into standard Cisco pricing."
The equipment comes with a 25 percent discount from standard pricing, but
the same warranties apply, Fisher said. In most cases, the equipment is ready
for same-day shipment if ordered by 7 p.m.
