IT Certification Values on the Rebound

The most recent IT Skills and Certification Pay Index compiled by the employment gurus at Foote Partners showed that even though values of IT certifications declined in 2009, the last three months data indicate that the freefall could finally be over.

Foote Partners ITSCPI examines the individual pay premiums given to the recipients of more than 200 different IT certifications, as compared to an average base salary determined by Foote analysts. Data shows that only one of eight categories of certifications saw any gains in 2009. But over the last three months, only one category lost value.
